Hey! We have just about recovered from our stint at Denham Village Fayre on Spring Bank Holiday Monday!
It was our first time there as stall holders (having gone along as punters in 2017) and the organisers made it really easy for us as we didn’t need to bring a table or gazebo, which saves a lot of time in setting up, plus there was free parking 🙂
We were situated between a homeware stall and a plant stall, from which we picked up lots of useful gardening tips.
The weather was really lovely and sunny after the initial overcast sky in the morning and the village was HEAVING with visitors all day.
There was much to enjoy; a great atmosphere, interesting food stalls, crafts, funfair, tombola, a raffle, Morris dancing, all within a picturesque, Midsomer Murders-esque village!
So what’s next?
16th June – Chalfont Crafty Collective Summer Market at St Peter’s Church Hall, Chalfont St Peter, Bucks 11-3
14th July – Chorleywood Village Day, Chorleywood, Herts 10-4
Hope to see you there!
Hey! Hope you are having a great spring time (or is it still winter?!).
We have some exciting things coming up this Summer – we’ll be selling our tropical products at the following local events:
Mon 28th May – Denham Village Fayre (South Bucks)
Sat 16th June – Chalfont Crafty Collective Summer Market (Chalfont St Peter, South Bucks)
Sat 14th July – Chorleywood Village Day (Herts)
Hope to see you at one (or all) of them. And even greater news, we can now accept payment on the stall by card, including contactless payment – yay! So no need to run off to find a cashpoint ????
We thought we’d be doing the Chalfont Crafty Collective Spring Fair in Chalfont St Peter in March, but unfortunately the ladies were unable to secure a date at the church hall ???? so the first one for that event will be 16th June, the Summer Market, which we will hopefully be doing… If we’ve not jetted off somewhere exotic!
Markets are such a great way to engage with people and to get them to try and smell our soaps and other goodies!
In the meantime we are exploring other opportunities and looking into perhaps selling on Etsy to expand our reach. Another thing will be to get a regular newsletter going!
This evening I’ve been getting things together for the Chalfont Crafty Collective Christmas Market this coming Saturday, our first market in MONTHS!
I updated and printed off our sales ledgers, a photo of our Christmas stall layout, created a newsletter sign-up sheet, got out a pack of our new business cards.
I suddenly remembered that our jute banner is out of date as we’re no longer “made in Rickmansworth”, so I printed off and laminated our full colour logo. I do love to laminate ????
I really need to make sure we’re prepared as it’s been such a long time since our last fair.
Great news! We’ve finally got a move date… Next week in fact! However, this has crept far too close to our Christmas fairs, so we’ve decided not to take part in the St Clement Danes School Christmas Market this year and give ourselves time to settle in to our new place and concentrate on Chalfont Crafty Collective’s Christmas Market on Dec 16th, our online orders and our regular wholesale order.
Sorry we won’t be there, but don’t let it stop you checking out the fantastic school Market:
